About the author...

My name is Santiago Bayo, i have been working with Linux, Solaris, FreeBSD for almost 13 years. I am self-taugh person.
I started using computers at 8 years old. Two years later I was coding my first Basic application (a Track and Field clone). At 17 years old I got my first PC, and about a year later I was learning Assemby and Pascal to create visual efects and to handle hardware at low level. Suddenly one day Internet  came to my life, and I said "this is it!!!"; I want to be one of the guys who are able to make this thing possible.
One thing took to another, and beside Internet I found Linux and from that moment I realised that we were meant to be together. Simply, effective, quick, practical and extensible.

I have been always seduced by development, and with Unix I have found two of my professional loves together. With "C" I had mixed feelings, very powerfull but alse very risky . Java make me feel like home. Scripting languages like Python and Javascript are my new hobbies.

I work at SIA, one of the "top most european security companies"  as Systems Security Architect, analyzing and deploying  systems and security infrastructures

In my personal life, I am married with the best and most charming woman in the world (Claudia!!! you are the woman I always dreammed of) . We live with Paco, our German Shepherd dog.
I love ridding my bikes (currently we have 4), going  to the cinema once a week, gadgets, collecting "Lonely Planet Guides", traveling, scubadiving  and running 10k races.

Enjoy my blog!!!
